Sensei Morten de Lange
I was born in Stavanger, Norway in 1958. After moving to Bergen I started training Thai-boxing. It was fun, and it was my start towards my Martial Arts-career. But I soon learned that this was more than just time-filling activity, like football or swimming. There was a bond, a special friendship, humbleness and respect. After a while I was contacted by another friend who told me about Kyokushinkai Karate. He told me about (at that time) the seven people in the world who had done the 100-man fight. I decided to have a closer look at what this style was all about.
I must say I was surprised. It was physically very hard training, punishment, kicks, punches, push-ups and blood, sweat and tears... I was ‘hooked’. My Kyokushin-travel had started.
